. Position: Game Artist
Summary
Create new, cutting-edge art for games based on original IP utilizing a diverse range of skills. Candidate will have the opportunity to work in many areas of game art including concept art, modeling, texturing, animation and visual effects. Providing feeback to help refine and enhance our content creation pipeline will be required.
Responsibilities
• Participation in concept design of characters and environments.
• Concept art for characters and environments.
• Character modeling and exturing.
• Character Animation.
• Environment modeling and texturing.
• Design and implement special effects (e.g. particle systems).
• Provide written and verbal feedback to programming on content pipeline.
Requirements
• Ability to learn quickly
• Proficiency with Maya, 3DS Max or SoftImage.
• Proficiency with Z-Brush or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Photoshop or equivalent.
• Thorough understanding of hi-res modeling and textuing.
• Understanding of game development process.
• Ability to work constructively under time constraints.
• Familiarity with bug-tracking software.
Desired Skills
• Experience working on a published title.
• 2+ years of professional game development experience.
• Experience with popular next-gen game engines like UE3.
• Strong traditional art skills.
• General knowledge of special effects and particle systems.
