. Position: Graphics/Technology Developer

Summary

A key part of the small core software team designing and developing the next generation of our proprietary real time graphics rendering engine. Main responsibilies include taking our shader infrastructure to the next level of realism and performance and ensuring these features are exposed in the toolset in a simple, functional and elegant way; all the while maintaing a higly performant pipeline.

Responsibilities

• Research, design, and implement cutting-edge graphics and related technologies (e.g. visibility, rendering, lighting).
• Write clear, maintainable and highly functional code.
• Collaborate with tools programmers and designers/artists to expose all functionality in the toolset in the simplest and most elegant fashion.
• Profile and performance tune render pipeline.
• As needed work on non-technology tasks such as tools and gameplay.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years programming experience.
• Very strong skills in 3D math and modern computer graphics technology (T&L, rendering, rasterization, Cg/HLSL shaders, skinning, animation, etc).
• Expertise in C++.
• Expertise in one or more low-level assembly languages, particularly with SIMD architectures with strong performance optimization skills.
• Prior experience developing advanced games technology on current consoles (PS3, XBOX360) or high-end PC cards.
• Highly motivated and self directed.
• Great communication skills.

Desired Skills

• B.Sc. degree in computer science or equivalent experience.
• Experience with non-windows PC platforms (i.e. Mac OSX, Linux).
• Proficiency with Subversion.
